| House of Parliament |
Yesterday, Christina, Juliet, Sarah and I, took a 4am bus to London to spend the day. I had about 3 hours of sleep before I had to wake up at 3 to catch the bus. I got on the bus and was able to sleep for a little bit before we got there at 7:30. The weather was perfect. Not too hot and not too cold, most importantly, it was sunny! We went to grab some breakfast before starting our day. From getting breakfast, we were walking to Big Ben where we saw Westminster Cathedral which was gorgeous. The building on the outside was what drew us into see what the building was. Inside, was beautiful artwork and it was pretty huge. From there we walked to Westminster Abbey which we thought about going into but it was too much money for us college students. Right behind the Abbey was the House of Parliament and Big Ben. The building was gorgeous and so was Westminster Abbey. We then walked across the Westminster Bridge to get to the Aquarium but that was too much money for us too. Right there, was the London Eye which was huge! From there we walked to Buckingham Palace, and on the way there we walked through a beautiful park called St. James Park. There were a lot of animals there and the squirrels were really friendly. They were grabbing food out of people's hands and even climbing on them! The palace was of course huge! There were also a ton of people as everyone was

waiting for the changing of the guards. We did as well too. We could only see them marching in from where we were which I was kind of upset about. They also weren't wearing the red jackets which made me really upset. Instead they were wearing these gray ones which made them look like the witch's guards from The Wizard of Oz. We then got some lunch and headed towards The British National Museum. (We thought it was a lot closer than it was) We spent the rest of the time there where we saw The Rosetta Stone and walked through the Egypt, Greece, Korea and China sections. After that, we got coffee and headed back to Victoria Station. I was curious how many miles we walked, and according to google map it was 8 miles! It was a fun and productive day :)

| London Eye |
I really enjoyed London and it reminded me a lot of the busy streets in New York City. The streets were a little confusing to get through sometimes and it doesn't help street signs are hard to find on the buildings. Some of the architecture was really pretty as well. I took a lot of pictures but I could have taken more but unfortunately we were a little rushed getting back to Victoria Station. We also didn't get to see a lot so we are thinking about heading back there another time.
Right now, I have to write a paper and do some coursework. Ireland is on Thursday!!
